Our Vision
An egalitarian and democratic society, at the national and territorial levels, where all men and women enjoy all universal human rights and the means to realize them with dignity.
Our Mission
Through the defense and promotion of women’s human rights, the ADFM aims to achieve de jure and de facto equality for women in Morocco.
Its fight is aimed at strengthening the rule of law, democracy, sustainable development, and access to modernity.
In this context, the ADFM joins the political and social movement championing a societal project inspired by these values and considering that the exclusion of women constitutes an attack on the rule of law and democracy.
Our values
The ADFM is founded on core values: rigor, integrity, sincerity, openness, commitment, respect, solidarity, otherness, and trust. These values are at the heart of everything we do. They guide us in our work, our collaboration with other stakeholders, and our commitment to a more equitable society.
Our story
The Association for the Rights of Women and the Family (ADFM), founded in the late 1980s, has undergone significant changes throughout its history. Between 1985 and 1989, the association initially experienced various tentative steps, seeking to structure itself and define its objectives in a complex social and political context. In the 1990s, the ADFM began a crucial phase of building its independence, strengthening its role as a key player in the defense of women’s and family rights. Over the years, the ADFM has established itself as a leader in committed and democratic associative action, playing a decisive role in promoting gender equality and raising citizens’ awareness of contemporary social issues. Its trajectory demonstrates a determination to transform society and defend fundamental rights.

The ADFM operates through its Nejma center, created in 1997, which is dedicated to listening to and providing legal guidance to women victims of violence. This center aims to identify the extent of violence suffered by women, often linked to discriminatory laws or poor enforcement. In addition to providing legal support and guidance, the center organizes information and capacity-building workshops, thus offering a resource and solidarity space for women in difficulty.
